Owen Gordon

Mr. Gordon is an Associate at Areté Capital Partners where he is involved in both sponsor and fiduciary activities. Owen has more than five years of experience working across multiple investment, advisory and operational roles.

Prior to joining Areté, Owen was an Investment Banking Associate in the Restructuring & Revitalization Group at G2 Capital Advisors. While at G2, Owen supported clients through complex capital raises, transactions, and operational transformations partnering with management teams, board members, and stakeholders to evaluate strategic alternatives and design and execute turnaround strategies across the consumer, manufacturing, industrial, energy, infrastructure, and transportation sectors.

Owen has extensive experience in 3-statement financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, creative problem-solving, and supporting management teams in distressed situations. He has led workstreams across liquidity management, business unit analysis, stakeholder communications, and the development of sophisticated financial models—including 13-week cash flows and long-term forecasts.

Prior to G2, Owen graduated from Colgate University where he double majored in Economics and Environmental Studies. While at Colgate, Owen worked as an Operations and Finance Analyst at Green Mattress Recycling, a sustainability-focused mattress recycling start-up in Greater Boston, where he built the company’s finance and operations functions. In that role, he drove efficiencies in procurement, plant operations, and labor optimization—initiatives that increased throughput and reduced working capital requirements. Owen remains an investor in Green Mattress and actively supports its Board of Directors with strategic analysis and decision-making.

In his free time, Owen is passionate about the outdoors and loves spending time golfing, in the mountains skiing, and in the ocean surfing. Owen currently resides in New York City where he an active volunteer for Bigs & Littles NYC youth mentoring.
