Rob Van Paasschen

Mr. Van Paasschen is a Vice President at Areté Capital Partners where he is involved in both sponsor and fiduciary activities. Rob has more than fifteen years of experience working in financial services across multiple investment and advisory roles.

Rob Van Paasschen is a senior finance executive with deep experience leading finance and accounting functions for private equity and venture backed businesses through periods of rapid growth, capital constraint, and strategic transition. He most recently led the finance & accounting functions at Elemental Advanced Materials and previously at Circulus. Prior to that he was the Director of FP&A at Stallion Oil Field Services.  Earlier in his career, he worked in oil and gas investment banking at RBC Capital Markets and began his career as an actuarial analyst at Milliman. Throughout his career he has advised on over $2B in various transactions. In addition to his corporate roles, he purchased or started multiple small business where he handled operations, sales, marketing, human resources, information technology, legal and any other issue that would come up. He continues to enjoy the entrepreneurial nature of the corporate roles he has held. He holds an MBA from Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business.  He also holds a BA in Mathematics and a BBA from Southern Methodist University.

Outside of work Rob enjoys volunteering at his church, spending time with his wife and son, and skiing when he can.
