Mr. Rao is a Senior Associate at Areté Capital Partners where he engages in both sponsor and fiduciary activities. Mr. Rao has experience working in various industries helping clients with business transformations, in-court and out-of-court restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy.
Prior to joining Areté, Jay was a Vice President in Teneo’s Financial Advisory group where he advised debtors, creditors and other financial stakeholders in navigating their options at various stages of distress. Jay has extensive experience in raising debtor-in-possession financing, leading chapter 11 processes and providing services in relation to financial investigations, dispute resolution, litigation, and more.
Jay resides in New York, and when he is not working, he spends his time enjoying chess, strategy board games, poker, skiing and cycling.
