
Mr. Jahnke is an Associate at Areté Capital Partners, where he engages in both sponsor and fiduciary activities. He has experience underwriting investments and supporting company strategy across a wide range of industries. His background includes advising on and executing several mergers and acquisitions, leading due diligence efforts, and evaluating both credit and equity opportunities.
Prior to joining Areté, Mr. Jahnke was a Senior Associate at Aldine Capital Partners, a Chicago- based private capital firm focused on the lower middle market. At Aldine, Ben led underwriting workstreams for platform and add-on investments, partnered with management teams on growth and operational initiatives, and managed portfolio company performance. He also prepared investment memoranda, valuation materials, and financial models across various sectors, including Business Services, Healthcare, and Manufacturing.
Ben began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Barclays, where he focused on M&A and capital markets transactions among the Business Services, Industrials, and Financial Sponsors groups. He conducted extensive diligence on industry trends and competitive positioning, and produced multiple Confidential Information Memorandums, Ratings Agency Presentations, Lender Presentations, and other related materials.
Mr. Jahnke graduated with honors from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Finance. While attending undergrad, Ben served as a Finance Development Intern at Whirlpool and a Production Control and Logistics Intern at Faurecia. Ben currently resides in Chicago and enjoys running along Lake Michigan, fishing in Northern Michigan, and exploring new restaurants throughout the Windy City.
